Working men and women from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), the Carpenters Union, the Virginia Professional Fire Fighters (VPFF) and the United Auto Workers (UAW) brought their families to Commander Del Toro’s home in Stafford for an evening of BBQ and NASCAR.
While the evening was geared mostly away from politics and toward the food and the race, Del Toro did speak to some of the issues facing our state, “We are approaching a critical election, not just in the 88th District, but all over Virginia. And we need to elect leaders who will protect workers, protect drivers, protect children, protect seniors and protect our communities. Leaders who will get results and who will bring real, tangible change.”
Jimmie Johnson overcame early race trouble to win the race, with Tony Stewart coming in second place.

Veterans for Del Toro is a group of retired servicemembers who are committed to bringing focus, commitment and passion to the Virginia Legislature by helping elect Commander Carlos Del Toro (Ret).
