More than two-dozen people joined former School Board Chair, Noreen Crowley, at her home in Hartwood to hear Commander Del Toro’s (ret.) plans to improve the public education system in the 88th District.
Teachers, administrators and School Board candidates arrived on a Sunday evening to take in Del Toro’s priorities and offer their own thoughts and experiences. “I have 4 boys who have graduated from or are currently in the public school system and improving education will always be a priority of mine.”
From reducing class sizes to holding the everyone in the system accountable, Del Toro spoke of his own plans to improve public education, while listening to the concerns of voters. “I’m concerned that our current Delegate is so weak on this issue because he does not take the time to listen to those most intimately involved, and that is what I'm doing everyday and will do as our Delegate.”
